עכס
The root עכס ('ks) isn't used as verb in the Bible, but in Arabic it occurs with the meaning of to reverse or tie backwards. Its Biblical derivatives are:
- The masculine noun עכס (ekes), meaning anklet or bangle. This noun occurs only once in the Bible, in Isaiah 3:18.
- The denominative verb עכס (akes), meaning to rattle or shake bangles. This verb occurs just once in the Bible too, and that two verses before the noun: Isaiah 3:16.
