חדק
The verb חדק (hdq) is not used in the Bible. Fuerst's Hebrew and Chaldee Lexicon to the Old Testament teaches that it means to prick, to sting to split, to separate, but BDB Theological Dictionary isn't so sure and even wonders if this verb may be denominative, derived from the masculine noun חדק (hedeq), meaning brier. This noun is used a mere two times in the Bible: Micah 7:4 and Proverbs 15:19.
