To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

[There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? [It is] God that justifieth.

For this [is] the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son.
(For [the children] being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)
For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,
Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
For if God spared not the natural branches, [take heed] lest he also spare not thee.
For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural [branches,] be graffed into their own olive tree?

But we will not boast of things without [our] measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.
